JENNY'S POV

How could this be? First Viperoth turns Elsa against Michael and the rest of us, and now this? Hanna-Barbera...is destroyed. It may take a while for the planet to recover from the trauma that occurred just moments ago, but I'm still shaken. This was my homeworld; I had often feared that, if it wasn't for my daughter's intervention, I would be homeless once again.

Hanna-Barbera wasn't the only planet that has been attacked. Agrabah and Rylaia were also targeted by Viperoth's forces, and if what Dick Dastardly said is true, then he must have used those tactics as a way of distracting our team. It's as if he knew our only weakness--we can't defend the galaxy well if we're not together. At the moment he's now headed for the Haven, our team's fortress and headquarters. This is definitely not good at all! I just knew it would happen eventually. The prophecy had already come true...we were too late to stop it...I wish it never had happened...every day of my life I fear for Michael and Victoria's safety. Stars help them!
Please help them defend Arendelle and get Elsa back to our side! I'm begging you! Please...

I look at Angel, and suddenly a new thought enters my head. How long has it been? Twelve years? She and her brother are almost 18. The light in my amulet, despite its prolonged absence since my great-grandmother's ascent into the Force, has just begun to spark and glows brighter within my daughter's presence. Is it
really that time to pass the crystal amulet down to her, today? Even though it's not her birthday yet, I'm now more than willing to teach her how to use it. I have a feeling it will do her a world of good if she chooses to use the crystal amulet wisely; her training in the Guardian Academy over the years has virtually changed her. Thank the stars...the time has come for this veteran GG warrior to pass the torch on to the next generation. That time is now.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Jenny and Angel stood alone together in a makeshift meditation room. She had already left her husband in charge of piloting the gunship, Galleth was busy tending to his girlfriend's wounds, and Blabber was asleep; this was the perfect time for her to teach her daughter what it means to be responsible for the crystal amulet.

Lighting up the scented candles, Jenny said, "It was a good thing I chose to wait until you were 18 to do this. Well, you're not exactly 18 yet, but you're getting close."

"Does that mean I'll finally get the crystal amulet I wanted?" asked Angel.

Jenny nodded and, after blowing out the flame on the match, sat down on the rug across from her daughter. "This is a family secret that has been passed down from parent to child since your great-great-grandmother's time. You are already aware of the properties the crystal amulet possesses, but I must warn you they should only be used to do good, for if you put it in the wrong hands, disaster will soon follow. This was given to me by your grandfather when I was seven; I would have given it to you on your seventh birthday, but your actions on Arendelle years ago prompted me to prolong the waiting period, because you weren't mentally mature enough. And now that you are, that time has come."

Angel watched her mother take off the crystal amulet and hand it to her. The moment it entered her paw and went around her own neck, the crystal began to glow brighter. She wasn't sure what to make of it; all this time she had been dreaming of inheriting the amulet and now all of a sudden she felt she wasn't ready. She asked, "Are you sure you know I'll take good care of it?"

"And use its powers wisely," replied Jenny. "With this, you can change into the Ultimate Guardian."

"And the Star Guardian? The form you assumed when you saved me and Galleth?"

"That can only be activated by the power and act of true love. Remember, the powers of love and friendship are stronger than the weapons in our arsenal, and as long as we're able to use them even in old age, it will have better results. Now, what you can also do with the crystal is that it enables you to see into the past and the future, and is ideal for healing."

"Wow...this amulet's got a wide variety of uses. Well, as long as nothing goes wrong, I'll accept it."

Jenny held up her paw. She continued, "Not yet. There is one last thing that needs to be done--I will see to it that you experience your first vision."

Angel blinked. "What's that like?"

"You will soon see. Close your eyes...lose focus on all your surroundings...and see yourself stepping into a world entirely different from your own..." The cat did exactly what her mother told her, and around her the scenery began to fade away into the darkness...

Angel reopened her eyes to find herself back in Arendelle on a quiet winter morning. This time she was in the forest near the North Mountain; it looked the same as it was, with one minor difference. In the distance behind her she could see the village and the castle...this was definitely Arendelle. But, which era is it? As if in answer to the question, the cat's ears perked up upon hearing softened footsteps, growing louder as it got closer.

She turned to see a female cat in a deerskin dress. She could tell from the look on her face that she was terrified. Following behind the cat was a redhaired human riding a black horse; something about that man seemed suspicious to Angel. Where had she seen that young man before?

Exhausted, the cat stopped running and turned to face her pursuer. Much to Angel's amazement, the feline shot out a few ice spears at the human; while it didn't hurt the man, they managed to slow down his steed by piercing its skin. The female cat, relieved that she had successfully managed to distract him for a while, ran off. Meanwhile, the human hopped off of his injured horse and cursed under his breath, having failed to catch up with his victim.

"Who is that guy?" thought Angel. "And why is he chasing after her?"

The scene immediately morphed into the interior of a Sith base somewhere in Americana. There was the man again, this time speaking with Count Dooku. By listening in on the conversation, Angel learned the man's name was Damon Devilin III, Americanan multimillionaire and staunch supporter of the Sith. He growled as he watched a crystal ball show a picture of the female cat with her new husband and two male kittens, one of which Angel recognized as her father.

"I have yet to find the mother of a future heir to the throne of the Sith empire," he said. "I may have failed in capturing this candidate, but there is another I desire that will replace her. She dwells on the same homeworld as I do; she may not know it yet, but soon, she will hold the keys to our group's future."

With a flash, the scene changed and she witnessed her father and a black-haired human woman running down a street; the woman was carrying a basket, with an infant inside. She watched as they stopped in front of a mansion. Snooper whispered, "Go! I'll keep a lookout in case his cronies show up."

The woman nodded and began walking towards the mansion. Seconds later, another vision appeared of Mr. Devilin III, approaching the same woman who was being restrained by two of his henchmen. She begged, sobbing wildly, "D-Don't kill me! Please!"

Damon snapped, "I don't show mercy to those who thwart my plans for the Sith's future. You shouldn't have allied yourself with that Pfeffa fool, and for now...you will suffer as he did."

With that, he began stabbing her in the heart, but that set off a wild chain of visions that nearly caught Angel off-guard. From among them she could discern one of the visions foretelling her parents visiting the North Mountains again, and come upon a village of prehistoric cats identical to her dad. Another vision, although not very serious or frightening, predicted a wedding on Thylaia shortly after the planet has been liberated. The last of the visions that came to her perfectly described what the Gold Squad must do now--the defeat of Viperoth, the destruction of his ruby, and Elsa's glorious return after being freed from Sith influence.

Soon she was back in the meditation room, a bit stunned. Jenny asked, "Well? What did you see?"

"Everything," murmured Angel, still shaken.

"What do you mean by 'everything'? What did the vision look like?"

"...I don't know, Mom. They all went so fast. But what I did see was a vision foretelling Viperoth's defeat and Aunt Elsa coming back to our team. I'm spent...I just don't know what to do."

"You'll learn in time. Maybe someday we will see what those other visions mean."

The two felines left the room and, after watching her daughter head off to go check on Galleth, Lilla, and Blabber, Jenny went back to piloting the gunship. "She'll learn in time. Even I had to start somewhere the first time."
A short story following Chapter 13 of "Dawn Of The Galactic Guardians". You will see a few references to two of my earlier short stories, but what do they all have to do with the defeat of Viperoth and Elsa being freed from Sith corruption?

So....is Devilin the SIth on Rylaia?
