Prologue
Her name was Wren Blackpaws, a native of the town of Fantasia. She was 21 years old, a perfect age for a sweet young girl. Everyone loved her for her dancing brown eyes and her bubbling laughter, and she was cheerful and bold.
But that was just her imagination. The truth is, Wren had been raised in a mobile home park. She was used to being called "trailer trash" every now and then, and if that was not enough, they would actually hurl trash at her or her parents. Wren took this kind of prejudice in stride, as she grew up believing that from small beginings come big miracles. That's exactly what happened one day, when her parents decided to send her away from her home.
"Wren," said her father. "If you can manage to build a new lifestyle for yourself, everybody in this neighborhood will look at you in a different way. Maybe you'll become rich and famous, but that's not in the cards yet, as far as I know. So, no matter what you do with your life, remember this--always keep on believing in yourself. You'll show those ugly bigots what's what."
And so, with food and belongings in her backpack and a smile upon her face, Wren set out to leave the mobile home park and into the big, wide world. She wanted to show everyone--including those who have insulted her--that she would have a great influence in their community. But when she ventured into Knotts Berry Farm to spend some time having fun, there was one little incident that changed her very life...the day she met someone who was destined to be her future husband.
