AU Idea: Angel Orphaned

I sort of had this AU fic idea involving Angel Snooper. The scenario is this: Angel is adopted and raised by Ralph and Melissa Raccoon in the Evergreen Forest. Now 16, she works part-time delivering newspapers for The Evergreen Standard. When rumors of an upcoming singing competition in the United States turn up, Angel becomes determined to show off her vocal talents to the world...and to attempt to uncover the hidden truth about her past. Who knows what (or, rather, who) she might find there?

What do you think of my idea?

EDIT: I had to replace the original idea with a much better one. Working title for future AU fic is "Who Am I?".
